The belief that crows are to responsible for the deaths of songbirds and the damage to your garbage has existed for years, and it continues to exist today. In fact, the science has been out there for years, and it tells a very different story. Crows are not responsible for the vast majority of tiny bird deaths. When danger approaches, these birds rely on crows to alert them to the situation. And when trash is pushed over and birds rummage through the bag, it is most certainly not a crow who caused the incident. That is not something crows are capable of doing. “They are there to clean up the mess that has been created by a raccoon or some other species that has had the muscle to knock over the garbage can.” Even though they have a poor image, they are friendly, they stick together, and they are quite fascinating to watch.
